Here Comes Alligator!

This year will be spectacular with plenty of teamwork, events, and the release of new picture books.

Tomorrow I’m headed to Hampshire County Library on Main Street in Romney, West Virginia for Reading Night (Thursday, January 12th) at 5:30 pm. Stay up to date with all my other appearances this spring and summer by following my Facebook page at facebook@melaniejvogel.author.

About those new releases…

“Alligator’s Baby Teeth” illustrated by Phoebe Shuttleworth and designed by Emma Silverfeather will release in time for Easter. Set in the popular graphic form, it’s a story of forgiving, accepting, and embracing others, even your bully. I’m immensely proud of this one because Phoebe is a local talent who started this project at the age of 16! I’m so proud of her and Emma, who are both now 21. We will head to festivals, schools, libraries, bookstores, vendor events and other appearances!

Check out a sample of their work in my featured images.

Before Christmas I will be releasing a beautifully illustrated children’s picture book based on the Christmas story from the biblical scripture of Luke 2. I’m proud to team up with first-time author, Danean Mullenax, and illustrator of Elsewhereville fame, Carey Lancaster.

And of course, illustrator Sheila May and I are looking forward to a Saint Patrick’s Day, 2024 release of Lula the Leprechaun.
